Why Choose Steel?

  •  Costs no more than wood
  •  Less scrap and waste – 2% steel versus 20% in timber constructions
  • Highest strength-to-weight ratio of any building material
  • Non-combustible – does not burn and will not contribute fuel to spread of a fire.
  • inorganic- will not rot, wrap, split, crack or creep.
  •  Dimensionally stable – does not expand or contract with moisture content.
  •  Consistent material quality – produced in strict accordance with national standards, no regional variations.
  •  Fire safety.
  •  Not vulnerable to any type of fungi or organism
  •  Less probability of foundation problems – five times lighter than wood, which results in less movement.
  •  No additional preservative chemicals are required.
  •  Less probability of damage in an earthquake – lighter structure with stronger connections results in less seismic force.
  •  Less probability of damage in high winds – stronger connections, riveted and screwed, versus nailed.
  •  Straight walls and square corners.

Our roll forming technology inserts addition profiles into the steel for added strength.

We build Sheds and Greenhouses in the same Steel as the Houses for residential or commercial use, that simply wont blow away when anchored down correctly.

Our Tiny Homes are Structurally Engineered to withstand the harshest of climates without any loss of heat transfer or condensation.

Customers love the speed at which the walls and roof are erected. It usually takes a day to run the frames and a day to erect them.

Tiny Homes built in wood are too heavy for the roads, steel in that situation is definitely the way to go.

The photo on the right is of a house being rolled by a truck all without damage, it would not be possible to do this with a wood house and the frame still be square, the slightest of twists in wood creates cracks and definitely a rebuild.

Steel stays true to square.

You can put your trust in steel.

If its good enough for commercial buildings, retail and Govt buildings, then why not for your next housing project.

Steel is taking the Aussie market by storm.

Why get left behind?

Earthquakes in Christchurch are a very real thing, however with steel framing you can secure and make your home safer. With steel framing being a lighter more secure structure, it will have a much lower chance of damage compared to conventional framing in the event of an earthquake.

Toxic Mould

Moulds in your home can cause health problems and structural damage. The most common mould that Will Kereru comes across is something called Black Mould, this grows on moisture laden materials. It does no grow on steel, nor does steel promote the growth of mould.
Mould can cause severe lung problems in infants and the elderly.
Steel does not contain moisture, like conventional building materials.

Fire Resistance

Steel Framing is non-combustible and will not fuel a fire.
Steel will not ignite and it withstands higher temperatures.
